Shift Miller

Operate and monitor milling equipment to produce high-quality milled products according to specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of the milling process and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain correct grist
- Maintain optimal cleaning of wheat
- Maintain correct water addition to wheat
- Maintain wheat bins utilization
- Inspect screenings for whole wheat and take corrective actions.
- Balancing of mill
- Monitor raw material supply and make appropriate adjustments to maintain consistent production.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet production targets and schedules.
- Conduct quality checks on milled products to ensure they meet the required standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the milling area.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks and report any equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team.
- Maintain optimum milling performance.
- Ensure that daily flour requirements are met.
- Assist with training of Trainee millers & newly appointed Millers.
- Do planned mill maintenance.
- Maintain constant IBK moisture
- Maintain product quality in adherence to quality guarantee standards.
- Report infestation and fumigate.
- Minimize downtime.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your team members.
- Record production data accurately and maintain production logs.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Shift Milling: 7 years (required)
- Wheat Milling: 7 years (required)

Shift availability:

- Day Shift (preferred)
- Night Shift (preferred)
- Overnight Shift (preferred)
