Our team is seeking to fill a Breeding Analyst Scientist position to be based in Delmas, South Africa.

**You Will Be Part of Growing Team**

**Your Challenge**:

- Utilize crop modelling methodologies to identify and test novel product concepts and enhance selection strategies in response to environmental stress
- Plan and support several corn and sunflower research programs with advanced analytics. Key responsibilities will include genomic breeding across several breeding pipelines. Work implies hands-on analysis, advanced breeding, training, and field activity.
- Leverage enabling breeding technologies to drive product development improvements.
- Develop tools and advance novel methodology useful for the development of new hybrids.
- Develop and deploy selection strategies for multi-trait selection of traits of interest
- Work both independently and as a member of a regional team to deliver products

**Qualifications**:** To Grow What Matters, You Will Need**
- Comprehensive knowledge and applied research experience in plant genetics or plant breeding.
- Be proficient in utilizing and building software tools used for data analytics.
- Be strongly motivated by the desire to solve scientific questions by deeply analyzing phenotypic and genetic information and deliver tangible results in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to work in an independent, self-directed manner with creative problem-solving skills and a drive for innovation.
- Strong organizational skills to plan and coordinate experiments across projects and abilities to effectively share results across the organization.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and a proven ability to work well in a multicultural team environment.
- Excellent personal interaction skills required for effectively developing strong internal and external working relationships with a diverse group of people.
