About the Company

**Responsibilities**:

- Sourcing of goods
- Requesting for quotations from suppliers
- Obtaining the necessary information for logistics - weight, volume, type of packaging
- Preparing spreadsheets in Excel used for quotations
- Calculating weight/volume and liaising with freight company for transport estimates
- Compiling presentations
- Corresponding with clients
- Processing of orders with clients and suppliers
- Following up on various issues
- Organising the export with relevant service providers, such as freight forwarders,
- Organising 3rd party inspection with inspection companies such as Bureau Veritas, SGS, Cotecna
- Preparing export documents: invoices, packing lists
- Obtaining required documents from freight forwarder such as Bill of Lading, Airway bills, Road consignment notes
- Keep client updated on order status
- Account recons (various clients)
- Stock report

**Requirements**:

- Approximately 5 - 8 years’ experience as a Buyer in the Engineering / Construction field
- Adequate language skills in English
- Strong skills in Excel
- Mathematics in grade 12
- Working under pressure

**Salary**: R20,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Booysens, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (required)

**Experience**:

- Buying in the Engineering or Construction field: 5 years (required)
- Advanced MS Excel: 5 years (required)
