Commercial Lawyer

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial matters, including contracts, agreements, and negotiations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, such as sales contracts, service agreements, licensing agreements, and distribution agreements.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Identify potential legal risks and propose effective strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management and other departments, to ensure legal compliance and provide guidance on legal matters.
- Assist in the resolution of legal disputes and manage litigation cases when necessary.
- Stay updated on legal developments and industry trends to provide proactive and strategic legal advice to the organization.

**Requirements**:

- LLB or equivalent degree from a recognized South African university and active membership in the South African Bar Association.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing as a Commercial Lawyer in South Africa, preferably in a reputable law firm or corporate legal department.
- In-depth knowledge of South African commercial law, contract law, and relevant regulations.
- Proven track record in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements in compliance with South African legal requirements. PPA agreement experience is highly advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build effective relationships with clients and stakeholders.
