Waiter/cashier

Our Client a Established restaurant seeks an experienced Waiter /Cashier

Individual must be willing to work shifts and have reliable transport to Umhlanga

**Job Description: Waiter/ Cashier**
- Greeting guests and ensuring the guest feel important and welcomed.
- Take food and drink orders. (Dining, Takeaway and Delivery App orders)
- Informing customers of daily special and up selling while providing detailed information of the menu.
- Be attentive and active to the needs of guests in the dining area.
- Delivering food from the kitchen to the guests.
- Ensuring the food order is made correctly and looks presentable.
- Check with the guests to ensure they are enjoying their meal.
- Following health code standards regarding food handling.
- Pre-bussing tables, wiping chairs, windows, removing debris from the dining area and main entrance.
- Sweep and mop as many times is needed thought the day.
- Check the noise level of the music and the temperature of the dining area.
- Multi-tasking various front of the house duties and perform in fast-paced.
- Removing dirty plates and assist in keeping the restaurant clean and safe.
- Process payments of food and drink orders with the cash register.
- Must follow all cash handling policies and procedures.
- Providing an exceptional level of customer service to guests at all times.
- Thoroughly cleaning and re-setting tables upon customers departure.
- Cycle and stock beverages, take away and drink containers.
- Keep work area neat, clean and organized.
- Always be aware of your assigned workstations

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R3,000.00 - R4,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Hospitality: 1 year (preferred)
