Odire Occupational Health (OOH) is a multidisciplinary organisation providing integrated healthcare services such as occupational hygiene, medical surveillance, onsite clinics, wellness, medical supplies and healthy & safety and training.
We are looking for an Occupational Hygienist to be a part of one of our projects The OH will be responsible for maintaining workplace health and safety by identifying, evaluating, and controlling exposure to chemical, physical, ergonomic, and biological hazards.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
The proposed Health and Safety Auditor must at least boost AIA certification issued by the Department of Labour OR A ANS 17020 certification OR EQUIVALENT and 5 years relevant experience.
Job requirements:
Hazard Assessment.
Determining the Level of Risk.
Level of control over the risk.
Walkthrough Survey which must cover but not limited to the following:
- Measure the lighting lux levels
Conduct an indoor air quality survey
Measure employee ergonomics,
Conduct a noise pollution survey both inside the office and outside.
Test the drinking water to establish its suitability for drinking.
Test for asbestos and other hazardous materials in the office.
Hazardous chemical agents. Whole-body and Hand-arm Vibration.
Temperature Extremes, including Heat and Cold Stress.
Exposure assessment
Determine the level of exposure.
Implement controls.
Indicate any additional assessments on exposure.
Implement monitoring schedules
Present the client with a report covering the findings and remedies / solutions in actioning the findings.
