**Dispatch Supervisor**

As the Dispatch Supervisor you play a critical role in overseeing the loading of trucks, conducting vehicle checks, and managing the return of drivers after deliveries. You will also be responsible for supervising a team of drivers and driver assistants, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to dispatch Operations.

You will report directly to the Operations Manager.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare dispatch area by pulling out all trucks in the morning and reversing trucks to be loaded first before 6am
- Precool your trucks to be loaded at leaded 15 minutes before loading.
- Ensure you have a trip sheet and stock for your first truck in dispatch by 6 am and you are ready to start to load.
- Timely and accurately load trucks according to delivery schedules.
- Reduce loading errors by ensuring you are following the loading procedure.
- Minimization of truck idle time at the loading area.
- Adherence to safety protocols and regulations during loading and vehicle checks.
- Timely reporting of any damages and / or repairs that are needed on the fleet to the logistics supervisor.
- Completion of vehicle inspections and maintenance daily before loading to be conducted by driver and once weekly to be conducted by the dispatch supervisor.
- Timely and accurate completion of driver paperwork upon return from deliveries.
- Driver adherence to schedules and delivery instructions.
- All tools are accounted for including but not limited to crates, thermometers and GPS

**Requirements**:

- Matric/Grade 12
- Experience in the FMCG environment.
- Knowledge of logistics in and around Cape Town
- Supervisory skills and experience
- Food safety knowledge
- Computer literate
- Must have own transport

Ability to Commute:

- Stellenbosch, Western Cape (preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

- Stellenbosch, Western Cape: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
