Maternal, Adolescent & Child Health Institute NPC, (MatCH) is a non-profit organization supporting public sector health services. MatCH implements donor funded projects to improve HIV and TB outcomes through providing technical assistance and direct service delivery support. **MatCH Institute NPC is looking to fill the following Position under the APACE Grant**

**Location**: Harry Gwala District (KwaZulu Natal Province)

**Duration of Contract**: Fixed term ending 30 September 2023

**Enrolled Nurse (SWAT) x 1 - (Ref :551)**

**Main purpose of the job**

The incumbent will support MatCH’S team by providing HIV testing, quality assurance, patient follow up and counselling at various health facilities. The incumbent will also support the management of MatCH’S Monitoring and Evaluation activities including but not limited to implementation plans, overseeing staff, data quality, drafting and updating M&E plans, reviewing data, reporting and operations research.

**Key performance areas**
- Undertake nursing duties within a comprehensive Primary Health Care Service. This is in terms of the scope of practise of an enrolled nurse as laid down in regulations under the Nursing Act.
- Support patient follow up services, Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities. Phlebotomy duties.
- Maintain books, registers and records as directed.
- Ensure record keeping and management of stock and equipment.
- Undertake pre and post-test counselling.
- Clinical file audits for TPT/VL/clinical recording
- Follow up with patients telephonically
- Review case identification register against Tier.Net
- Management of viral load lists and results
- Ensuring linkage to care and implementation of decanting strategies
- Undertake adhoc tasks as and when required

**Required minimum education and training**
- Enrolled Nurse Qualification
- SANC Registration (South African Nursing Council) o HIV counselling certificate

**Minimum work experience**
- 2 years’ experience in a public health setting
- 1-year experience in HIV testing

**Desirable additional education, work experience and personal abilities**
- Ability to handle a varied, busy, pressurised workload with competing demands on time and extensive travel to various sites
- Positive, enthusiastic and self-motivated approach to work.
- A valid driver’s license and ability to travel
- Available to commence work immediately
