Johannesburg, South Africa Renewal Memory Partners Full time

The Director of Finance & Operations (DFO) is responsible for the financial stewardship and operational excellence of Renewal Memory Partners, a mission-driven homecare agency with offices in New York and Chicago. The DFO will provide cross-functional leadership that spans Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, Client Services, and General Administration.

The DFO will be responsible for leading the company to deliver on our net profitability targets, in tandem with delivering on our mission and serving as a force for the greater good. As a Benefit Corporation, we strive to integrate profit and purpose.

This is a full-time, fully remote position that requires full availability during US business hours, specifically Eastern Time (NYC) and Central Time (Chicago).

**Duties and Responsibilities**

**Finance**
- Oversee the finance function of the Company across all locations.
- Develop financial models that drive growth and achieve profitability goals.
- Establish & monitor KPIs across the entire company.
- Support the strategic and fiscal planning of Renewal Memory Partners, including budgeting, forecasting, and pricing strategies.
- Produce and analyze financial reports, including monthly and YOY P&L.
- Liaise with clients to onboard/familiarize them with billing processes and their financial obligations.
- Directly manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Identify ongoing opportunities for cost savings and other operational efficiencies; negotiate appropriate discounts with vendors.
- Conduct deep dives into measurable data, bringing forth actionable insights.
- Supervise Finance Associate in day-to-day finance activities including bi-weekly payroll & invoicing, general ledger, and long-term care insurance claims submissions.
- Serve as liaison to the Company’s accounting firm and all other third-party professional finance services.

**Operations**
- Ensure ongoing compliance with all New York State and Illinois laws governing the operation of licensed home care services.
- Ensure prompt, appropriate responses to all communications from local, state, and federal entities, including Departments of Finance, Departments of Labor, Secretaries of State, etc.
- Ensure the Company retains appropriate levels of insurance at all times, including, but not limited to, Worker’s Compensation, General Liability, and Professional Liability.
- Main point of contact for Workers Comp audits; support executive team in all other regulatory audits.
- Manage the selection of company benefits, including the company’s health insurance and 401(k) plan.
- Administer payroll for executive team.
- Develop competitive wage strategy for Care Partners; advise on salary negotiation for administrative hires.
- Facilitate internal communications, including announcements of new hires, updates on process changes, and other key messaging.
- Design workflows and processes, both within teams and between teams.
- Monitor workload and capacity of employees and departments to ensure that the company is operating with sufficient and efficient levels of staffing at all times.
- Supervise Operations Manager in employee onboarding, employee offboarding, benefits administration, unemployment claims, and workers compensation claims.
- Serves as liaison to all third-party professional HR services.

**Information Technology**

Oversee Company’s IT strategy.
- Identify software and platforms that are compatible, efficient, cost-effective, and HIPAA compliant.
- Serve as Administrator across all company IT accounts and manage user provisioning.
- Support staff in their use of technology, ensuring that employees are using company platforms and software to their fullest potential.
- Monitor employees for compliance with company IT policies.
- Safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI) and all proprietary information of Renewal Memory Partners.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors and professional IT services. Requirements

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance-related field required; preference for graduate degree.
- Five (5) or more years of management experience in a company based in the United States of America.
- Mastery of Quickbooks.
- Tech savviness a must.
- Proven track record of effectively leading and managing teams, improving operational efficiency, and driving success in a startup environment or an organization undergoing rapid growth.
- Experience in the home health/ homecare sector a plus.
- Professionalism, integrity, empathy and discretion.
- Able to function with a high level of independence.
- Ability to engage, inspire and influence others.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail.
