**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12/ equivalent
- A completed Draughting certificate / diploma

**Experience and Requirements**:

- 5 or more years working experience as a Design Draughtsman in the steel fabrication industry is essential
- Computer Literate on MS Office Suite / Solidworks, and AutoCAD is essential and non-negotiable
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00-16:00
- Friday: 7:00-13:00
- Overtime might be required from time to time
- Bilingual in English and Afrikaans
- Reside in or around Germiston
- Reliable transport
- Of sober habits
- A stable work record and have contactable references
- A self-starter, showing strong action orientation, with excellent organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills
- Display strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy
- Perform under pressure
- Problem solving ability innovative and creative
- Service orientated and customer focused
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that an official order is obtained before commencing with working drawings
- Check sales orders to customer orders to ensure that all information (gauge, grade, finish) corresponds
- Generate working drawings from customer drawings or specifications accurately and quickly
- If no clear drawings or instructions are supplied, ensure that the customer approves the drawings
- Have the full set of working drawings checked by the Manager as soon as they have been completed
- Print and issue the relevant drawing to relevant department
- After finalization of the job, all drawings should be placed in relevant folder on the system
