RedCat Recruitment is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced **COMPOUND MANAGER** for a large manufacturing concern based in the _**KwaZulu-Natal Midlands.**_

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Grade 12.

Driver’s license / own reliable vehicle.

DPRI / BSc Degree in Science / Chemistry or equivalent / Diploma in Rubber Technology.

Rubber compounding experience required.

2yrs+ previous experience in a similar position.

Substantial knowledge as a Chemical Specialist and experience in rubber technical and production

management.

Strong knowledge and experience in a quality management system.

Knowledge regarding, SHEQ and other legal and regulatory requirement of a rubber/chemical production operation.

Previous experience in managing hazardous chemical substances / REACH.

Knowledge in the interpretation of chemical TDS's and MSDS's.

Person will be responsible for developing new compounds for various on-site departments. This includes belting, hose, SQT, surface protection, and compression moulding. Person will also be the custodian of the compounds and monitor their performance both at mixing through to the final product.
