**The Challenge**
Reporting to the She Officer - as the SHE Co
- Ordinator will support and assist SHE Officer in the implementation and review of all SHE and Security policies, procedures and actions. Provide services to the DNP premix site to maintain SHE compliance in line with DSM SHE requirements. Contributes to the goal of a Zero SHE Incident World and promotes a Zero tolerance - SHE Culture.
**The Position**
**Key areas of accountability/responsibility**
- SHE Inspections and Gemba walks.
- conduct induction and SHE awareness training sessions.
- Assist in the review of departmental SHE procedures.
- Promote safety initiatives.
- Compile and maintain relevant registers to ensure compliance.
- Calibration of SHE monitoring equipment.
- Administrative duties as required.
- Maintain compliance with all DSM SHE Requirements.
- Incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Assist SHE Officer in the compilation of the Department’s annual budget.
**Contractor Management**:
- Manage contractors SHE Requirements in respect of new projects.
- Review and approve contractor SHE Plan and the overall SHE File
- Conduct regular audits for the project duration.
**Risk Management**:
- Assist in the review of Risk Assessment, Machine Safety Risk Assessments, Process Safety (HAZOP), Health Risk Assessments, HCS assessment and ATEX assessment.
- Conduct management of change risk assessments.
**Reports**:
- Ensure hygiene surveys are conducted by external service provider as per legal requirements.
- Liaise with local authorities on matters related to SHE.
- Lifesaving rule monthly audits.
- OEL Monitoring in production areas.
- Compilation of statistics and analysis of SHE trends.
- Contribute to the compilation of SHE KPI reports.
**The Ideal**
The required qualifications, experience and competencies will are:
- A National Diploma in Safety Management or Environmental Management.
- 3 years of experience in similar positions.
- SAMTRAC or NEBOSH added advantage.
- Good working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act; ISO 45001 and/ ISO 14001.
- In depth knowledge of SA legislation and procedures.
- Knowledge of hazard identification and risk assessment.
- Experience in report writing.
- Proficient in MS Office; Working knowledge of safety management information systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics
