Mathematical Literacy Grades 10

**Mathematical Literacy Grades 10 - 12**

We are seeking the services of an energetic, and passionate Mathematical Literacy teacher to join an experienced and successful team with a proud history of excellent matric results. In addition to teaching Mathematical Literacy the incumbent will be expected to teach grade 12 Mathematics class
The position is effective from march 2023.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Have at least a one-year Mathematics qualification in a recognized degree, or at least the equivalent of 4-year Teaching Qualification. Have suitable experience (at least 3 years) in teaching Mathematics/Mathematical Literacy.
- Be expected to manage the administration around Mathematical Literacy in the school.
- Be proficient in the use of a wide range of software for teaching and setting assessments.
- Be willing to participate in, and initiate conferences and workshops.
- Have experience in external marking or be willing to gain experience.
- Show innovation, creativity, and motivation in the classroom as well as having high expectations of their learners. Have exceptional interpersonal skills and able to work effectively as a member of a team dedicated to the development of all learners.
- Run afternoon support sessions and have a passionate and invested interest in helping struggling learners.
- Be able to contribute to the Pastoral, Academic, Sporting and Cultural Life of the School.
- Be a South African Citizen and a member of SACE.
