A Restaurant in Linden has a Griller Position

**Job Summary**

As a **Griller** you will be responsible for the Slicing, cutting, shredding, tendering and skewing meat and vegetables. The Griller’s duty is to braise and grill the vegetables and meat according to customer’s preferences. The duty of the Griller is to check that ingredients to be used are fresh for consumption. The Griller ensures that the workstations are always clean and orderly. The Griller must ensure that the food prepared is presentable and neatly plated. Keeping in mind the Restaurant’s culture and putting the Health and Safety Rules first, he/she should always maintain the Besos Food preparation standards and follow the guidance of a Head Chef or Sous Chef in the way the food must be prepared. Speed and quality always remain the main priority in the preparation of the meals. The roles and responsibilities are however, not limited depending on the Restaurant’s needs.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Adhere to quality and service standards of the Restaurant.
- Slicing, cutting, shredding, tenderizing, and skewering meat and vegetables.
- Braising and grilling meat and vegetables.
- Checking that ingredients remain fresh and safe for consumption.
- Preventing cross-contamination.
- Preparing meals in accordance with customers' preferences, if applicable.
- Tracking the components of each meal to ensure that the final dish is completed in a timely manner.
- Liaising with waitstaff once orders are finalized.
- Ensuring that your workstation always remains clean and orderly.
- Informing the Manager when equipment is due for maintenance, repair, or replacement.
- Tracking inventory to ensure that you always have adequate supplies.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum Educational Level: Grade 12 or Equivalent
- Knowledge of Food and Safety
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Griller
- Certificate in Hospitality (Added advantage)

**Job Type**
- Full Time

**Salary**
- R6 000 to R8 000 per month depending on experience.
