Worm Carer/gardener

Duties:
Responsible to signing in at control room.

Worm farm containers for the day are checked and taken out of their holders and placed separately for fresh air and for feeding

Required to take photos of worms and food fed on a daily basis, as well as worm tea collected and state of area.

Go to restaurants to collect waste and Weigh food waste and record at large scale in basement

Chop up the day’s or previous day’s food waste.

Feed worms and records quantity fed

Reporting in kgs and complete forms with necessary information

Reporting on which restaurants are supporting the program.

Takes liquids that the farm has produced and store in containers provided.

Minimum Requirements:
Well spoken in English

Presentable

Good financial literacy and general literacy

Required to have a cell phone with working whatsapp.

Must have attention to detail. Worms are delicate creatures and need lots of TLC

Cares for gardening and will have an appreciation for worms and all things composting.

Training will be provided about what the worms can eat - what to collect food waste at restaurants - check what is given and decant into a container

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm
Part-time hours: 40 per week

**Salary**: R23.19 - R24.25 per hour
