**Requirements**:

- National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
- ECSA-registered Professional Engineering Technician

or eligible for registration.
- Minimum of 8 years post-qualification or directly

applicable and acceptable experience in an electricity

distribution system environment with exposure to a wide

range of technologies.
- Good project management skills.
- Sound knowledge of safety legislation and practice.
- Excellent communication and negotia13tion skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- A high degree of computer literacy.
- Driver's license: Code B.

**Special conditions**:

- Required to work in all weather conditions.
- Required to work outside normal working hours as

demanded by the exigencies of the service.
- Required to use own transport for which an

appropriate transport allowance will be payable.

Key Performance Areas
- Plans and designs the short to medium term

development of the electricity distribution system.
- Facilitates the establishment of electrification projects.
- Plans and designs network extensions in response to

including investigating sites, designing suitable

extensions to the network, preparing cost estimates
- Implements the capital programme for medium

voltage distribution network and major service

connection projects which includes planning material,

labour and transport requirements, performing contract

management and administration, and providing

financial control.
