Security Supervisor

Position Overview

Primary Responsibilities
- Supervise contracts of external security service providers
- Manage and maintain security principles and sound record keeping.
- Ensure that security assessments and audits are completed, and address issues identified.
- Develop and maintain security policies and procedures in line with set standards.
- Ensure security services are delivered within limitation of laws/regulations and enforce policies and procedures i.e., PSIRA and safety Act, firearms control Act etc.
- Ensure compliance with the voluntary principles on security and human rights across operations.
- Compile and manage operational planning including emergency and disaster management.
- Compile daily and monthly reports to Security lead.
- Assist in VIP/Close protection of the executive.
- Investigate security incidents and liaise with SAPS.
- Report all crime or intelligence timeously.
- Attend monthly mine crime combating forum and mineral councils' meetings.
- Attend and participate in security and stakeholder relation meetings with local/provincial/traditional authority areas/illegal mining forum/justice and security cluster.
- Plan security for special and high-risk events
- Assist for product in transit incidents
- Implement advance technology surveillance and control.

Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Security Management, NQF Level 6 (mandatory)
- Security Certificates (E, D, C, B, A)
- PSIRA Registered
- Driver's License (mandatory)

Knowledge & Skills
- 5 - 8 years' Investigation/ Police Experience
- 5 - 8 years Mining Security experience (mandatory)
- Computer Literacy (mandatory)
