As we prepare to open our doors, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced hospitality couple to manage and operate all aspects of our hotel and restaurant operations.

**Job Description**:
As a Hospitality Couple, you will be responsible for the efficient and seamless operation of our small independent hotel. Working closely together, you will oversee front of house, kitchen, and housekeeping functions to ensure the highest standards of service and guest satisfaction. This role offers a unique opportunity for a semi-retired couple seeking a quieter chapter in their professional career or a young start-up couple eager to kickstart their careers in the luxury hotel and restaurant industry.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Overall Management: Take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the hotel, restaurant, and tearoom, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning across all departments.

2. Front of House: Greet guests warmly upon arrival, handle reservations, check-ins, and check-outs, and attend to guest inquiries and requests. Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and ensure exceptional customer service at all times.

3. Restaurant Management: Oversee menu planning, food preparation, and service delivery in the restaurant and tearoom. Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control to uphold culinary standards and guest satisfaction.

4. Kitchen Operations: Work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate meal preparation, ensure timely service, and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen area. Manage inventory, stock rotation, and ordering of supplies as needed.

5. Housekeeping: Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure that guest rooms and public areas are clean, well-maintained, and properly stocked with amenities. Implement procedures for room inspections and maintenance requests.

6. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and motivate a team of hospitality professionals, including waitstaff, kitchen staff, and housekeepers. Schedule shifts, assign duties, and provide ongoing guidance and support to maximize performance.

7. Customer Relations: Build strong relationships with guests, anticipate their needs, and exceed their expectations to foster loyalty and positive word-of-mouth. Handle guest feedback and complaints effectively, seeking resolutions in a timely and professional manner.

8. Financial Management: Monitor expenses, control costs, and manage budgets to ensure profitability and sustainability of the business. Keep accurate records of revenue, expenses, and cash flow, and prepare regular reports for management review.

9. Marketing and Promotion: Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to attract new customers and promote repeat business. Participate in local events, collaborate with tourism organizations, and leverage digital platforms to increase visibility and brand awareness.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in hospitality management, preferably in a hotel and restaurant setting.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer-focused approach.
- Culinary experience or knowledge is advantageous for restaurant management.
- Familiarity with hotel management software and basic accounting principles.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record for operating the company vehicle.
