Maintenance Clerk

RCL Is looking for an energetic individual to assist in the maintenance department.

The primary function of a Maintenance Assistant is to assist with the maintenance of plant and buildings maintaining a high level of hygiene, cleanliness, quality and service.

Maintenance services include but are not limited to the servicing and maintenance of machinery, equipment, welding, fabrication, pneumatics & hydraulics.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Practice health and safety and food safety procedures at all time
- Follow maintenance technician instructions, ensuring planned and preventative maintenance schedules are completed on time
- Report to breakdowns immediately with maintenance technician and work quickly and safely to help repair machine
- Assisit with jobs pertaining to building and facility maintenance
- Assist with special projects
- Ensure toolbox is fully stocked and kept clean, hygenic state
- Ensure maintenance workshop is clean and tidy at all times and all ietms in their correct place

**Admin Duties**

Complete task as per the job card issued

Once job complete, obtain sign off from technician on job card

**Food Safety**

Adhere to food safety guidline as per company policies and procedures

Abide by all Good Manufacturing Practices requirements as set out by employer

Ensure all work areas are clean and free from contamination after maintenance work have been done

Carry out all instructions related to plant and machinery maintenance

**Minimum Requirements**:
**Education**

Grade 12

Working towards N3 and N4

**Skills**

Ability to read write and understand and communicate in English

Good numeracy

Able to work with mínimal supervision

Ability to prioritize task and follow specified procedures

**Experince**

Minimum 2-3 years practical experince as a maintenance assistant, preferably in a production enviroment, bakery background advantageous, mechanical or electrical experince
