**ROLE SUMMARY**:

- Reddam House Waterfall is a premium private school in Waterfall, Midrand. A definitive expression of excellence, Reddam House Waterfall boasts beautiful, lush, greenbelt views, within the secure estate bordering the Jukskei River; featuring beautiful walking and mountain bike trails, play parks, and picnic areas. This tranquil setting is conducive to discovery and learning.- We require an enthusiastic and capable College Director of Music who is able to deliver motivational and differentiated lessons that cater for student’s individual needs. The successful applicant will be very well organized, enjoy working as a part of a supportive team, and be willing to contribute to the life of our school. This is a fixed term contract role which is due to commence on 06 May 2024.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**To Teach Music to Grades 8-12**

To adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. To create a positive learning environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.

**_Duties include:_**
- Plan, prepare and present interesting and Music lessons to Grade 8-12 classes- Establish a teaching environment that is nurturing and promotes learning- Behave in a professional manner with regard to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and homework of students- Evaluate, reflect on and refine your teaching practice- Teach extra lessons when required on two afternoons per week- Produce documents (eg. Worksheets) for students of a high standard- Show loyalty to all aspects of Reddam House- Attend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.**WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR**
- Able to set clear expectations and stretching goals
- Adaptable teaching style incorporating feedback
- Ability to judge learning effectiveness
- Excellent preparation and planning
- Assessment of student outcomes and feedback to enhance performance
- Genuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfare
- A minimum of 3** **years’ experience with students in a college school setting
- Confidence with use of ICT in teaching
- Certified Teaching Status
- Appropriate right to work.
