**Merchandiser**
**Purpose of the role**
The merchandiser plays a key role in the proper care and maintenance of our stock, including managing inventory.
- Reporting To_: Stock Controller
- Subordinates_: N/A
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Maintain receipts, records, and withdrawals of the stockroom
- Perform other stock-related duties, including returning, packing, pricing, and labeling supplies
- Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of excess stock
- Ensure daily stock counting takes place
- Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control
- Working closely with the Stock controller to plan product ranges
- Keeping store neat and tidy
- Inform the stock controller of any discrepancies with stock
- Follow good manufacturing practices and required work safe practices
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area
- Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned without any disruption from your job duties
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 2 years working in the retail industry
- A valid Matric Certificate.
- Excellent communication skills, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Accurate and attention to detail.
- High level of confidentiality.
- High energy level and passion for retail
- Problem solving skills.
- Able to work under pressure.
- Deadline driven.
- Exercise discretion and Confidentiality.
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (preferred)
Willingness to travel:
- 25% (preferred)
