Compound Manager

**DUTIES**:
Compound design & development:

- Design and develop rubber formulations to meet processing, cost, product and market performance requirements.
- Mix R&D/experimental prototypes on a laboratory pilot scale
- Optimize experimental pilot to plant-level production scale
- Support customer requirements
- Tests and release pilot production to mass production
- Obtain processing reports from customers and set mill control laboratory limits.
- New technology adoption to fulfil the current economic condition
- Support Technical Production Director on a daily basis and resolve issues.

Laboratory management:

- Quality control/final product release
- Handling & reporting of none conforming products and raw materials
- Internal capacity and priority management
- Cost control within the department.

Lead and develop People:

- Prepare succession plan for foreseeable retirements
- Develop deputies for any key functions
- Customer interaction

Health & Safety:

- Ensuring the health, safety & environmental & quality policies are observed and resourced for this are sourced. (ISO 14001 and ISO 9001)

**Education**
- DPRI/BSc. degree in Science/Chemistry or equivalent/Diploma in rubber technology
- Rubber compounding experience required.

**Knowledge and Skills**
Substantial knowledge as Chemical Specialist and experience in Rubber Technical & Production Management

Substantial knowledge and experience in Quality Management system
