Caretaker/maintenance

**Job Title**: Property Caretaker

**Location**: Boland Park, Paarl

**Position Overview**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Perform routine light maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical work, painting, and general repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist in the collection of rental payments, lease renewals, and communication with residents regarding their accounts - together as directed from head office.
- Maintain a clean and well-organised property, including common areas and outdoor spaces.
- Respond to resident inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
- Coordinate and oversee any maintenance tasks.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities communications.
- Report any safety hazards or security concerns to management.
- Adhere to property rules and regulations and ensure residents do the same.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in property maintenance and repair work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic knowledge of property management software (preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labor.

**Salary**: From R6,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Paarl, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
