Social Worker

The successful applicant will hold a mixed case load but may also undertake a project lead within the region, providing specific support to foster carers, young people and colleagues in respect of an aspect of practice that impacts on our young people. In addition, the team deliver training and support groups to our families and put on events and activities that all workers have a level of input and involvement with.

Applicants will work with foster carers and children from a variety of backgrounds and will be responsible for ensuring their compliance with the National Minimum Standards.

The successful applicant must have a passion for children and young people, excellent organisational skills, be able to meet deadlines, have excellent communication skills and the ability to analyse situations accurately and produce detailed written reports to timescale.

**You must be a fully qualified Social Worker and as part of the relocation from South Africa to the UK, we will assist you in obtaining your registration with Social Work England.**

The job description includes the following aspects:

- Supervision of a pool of foster carers
- Form F assessments and panel presentation (dependent on caseload)
- Monitoring and complying with all safeguarding aspects
- Participation in all aspects of the organisation including recruitment, retention and supporting training for foster carers
- Flexible working and out of hours support to carers
