Our client is seeking a skilled and proficient Chinese Translator to join the team on a 10-month contract. You will play a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between the organisation and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Chinese Translator, with a strong portfolio of successful translations.
- Proficiency in both Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) and English, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Chinese Studies, Linguistics, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

- Translation: Provide accurate and contextually relevant translations of various documents, including business correspondence, reports, and technical materials, from Chinese to English and vice versa.
- Interpretation: Facilitate effective communication in meetings, conferences, and other interactions by providing real-time interpretation between Chinese and English.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough proofreading and editing to guarantee the accuracy and integrity of translated content, while meeting tight deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders to clarify ambiguous points, gather additional context, and ensure a smooth translation process.
