**POSITION DETAILS**:
**Position Title**:Consultant: Pre-Sales
**Reports to**:Senior Manager: Software & Professional Services

**JOB PURPOSE**
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Prepare accurate proposals & pricing associated to company software and professional services.
- Support all pre-sales software activities. (Proposals, Design, Architecture, Pricing, Demo’s, Presentations, SoW’s, etc).
- Lead and facilitate customer-facing information gathering sessions to validate business cases, gather and document business and functional objectives.
- Develop and utilize a methodical, approved consultative selling approach to ensure understanding of key client objectives, diagnosing & mapping client requirements, articulating solution risks and barriers, and recommending solution approaches.
- Calculate time and cost required to complete projects based on time and material estimates
- Develop timely statements of work (SOW) based on customer requirements and technology capabilities in a fast-paced selling environment.
- Ensure SOW is centrally stored.
- Provide accurate forecasts of your pre-sales activity pipeline.
- Proactively pursue and support achieving unit’s software sales targets.
- Development and delivery of product demonstrations and related PowerPoint presentations.
- Visit customers and ensure the accurate minuting of these customer engagements in writing.
- Proactively and timeously create solutions documentation as required
- Facilitate pre-sales to professional services information exchange to transfer knowledge to implementation team.
- Participate in design sessions, provide guidance, and direct resources during implementation of projects as required. From time to time engage in support of customer implementations.
- Engage internal units & suppliers as needed in development of technical proposals.
**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Governance, Risk and Business Continuity Management**
- Proactively identify unit, business and client risks for all proposed and implemented solutions.
- Comply with company governance guidelines and policies.
- Proactively engage with Salespersons for software and related solution renewals.
- Act as a sounding board to Salespersons, Customers and internal personnel to manage expectations of what the company’s software and related solutions can and cannot deliver
**External Parties and Relationship Management (Including Internal)**
- Maintain a strong professional relationship with all suppliers, customers, and internal company units.
- Act as the PreSales ( _and often singular_) conduit between Salespersons and the supplier for all software and related solutions requirements.
- Comply with company governance guidelines and policies.
**COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS**:
**QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS**:
**Educational Qualifications**:
- Matric
**Professional Qualifications**
- IT Degree or Diploma
- A+, N+ and MCSE or an equivalent. MCITP qualification
- Papercut, Equitrac, Square 9, MicroFocus, DocuSign, Xerox and equivalent office automation industry related certifications would be an advantage.
**Years of Experience**
- 8 - 10 years in technical software support specific to Enterprise Software in an Office Automation environment.
**Other requirements**
- Clear understanding of notation
- Solution Architecture
- Network Architecture (as pertains to relevant company software solutions).
- Excellent ability to draft, develop, propose and present Technical SOW's.
- Excellent Verbal/Non-Verbal & Written skills
- Excellent Time & Work-Load Management Skills
- Excellent Business Productivity Software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)

**Job Type**: Permanent
**Salary**: R35,000.00 - R40,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Isando, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
