**PURPOSE AND MISSION OF THE JOB**:
Procurement representative of Alstom Ubunye as member of the Site Executive Committee:
relays to Procurement/Site any information or decision that could impact respective activities such as organizational

changes, supplier difficulties, local/central instructions, make or buy decisions. Acts as a facilitator between the

Procurement Function and Site operational members.

**LOCATION**:
Nigel, Gauteng

**TEAM**:
10 to 15 direct reports (Procurement Manager, Lead Buyers, Buyers, Project Procurement Manager, Economic Development Manager)

**KEY NETWORK & LINKS**:
Procurement local and central teams, Site/JV executive committee members, Suppliers, Projects team, Supplier Quality, Supplier Development, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Economic Development, Legal, Finance, etc.

**MEASUREMENT (KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS)**
- Business Award (supplier selection) and Purchase Order placement on Time
- First Article Inspection on Time
- Cost reduction vs. Budget (savings)
- Local Content and Preferential Procurement performances
- Internal customer satisfaction
- Supplier OTIF (On Time Delivery)
- Supplier NCR (Non-Conformity)

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Team Management and development:

- Manage headcount and staffing
- Manage local procurement team in close link with the global procurement team (Domain Directors, Commodity Directors/Managers, Sourcing Efficiency, etc.)
- Monitor local procurement team workload and process to arbitration
- Develop team competencies
- Secure compliance of his/her team to the Alstom Code of Ethics

**PROCUREMENT PERFORMANCE**:

- Manage suppliers’ Quality, Costs, Delivery & Economic Development performances
- Perform regular supplier QCD performance, solves major issues and secure objectives achievement
- Bring procurement expertise to support local procurement team
- Challenge global procurement to secure project execution and profitability in escalation phase
- Provide to global procurement input to impact commodity strategies
- Share with central procurement, Project Manager and Site/JV MD the risk analysis on commodities strategies.
- Share and follow common mitigation plan to secure future business award is in line with commodity strategies.
- Secure continuous improvement within whole local procurement team

**PROJECT EXECUTION AND PROFITABILITY**:

- Support local procurement team to face commercial and contractual negotiation during project execution phase
- Challenge site/JV executive committee members to secure project execution and profitability
- Track procurement performance in projects and issue action plan in case of deviation
- Analyse risks and sets appropriate mitigation plan
- Formalize and share return of experience on main issues
- Support the team, especially the Procurement Project Manager, on project gate review completion
- Secure Procurement gate reviews (GO Order, GO BA, GO PO) are done on time in line with retro planning as per project needs
- Secure PO placed on time

**OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE & CASH FOCUS**:

- Support supply chain to monitor and secure raw material inventory and On Time in Full objectives
- Support quality on Non-Conformity Report treatment and improvement, Costs of Non-Quality management
- Support accounting department to aligned on invoice accounting and payable days
- Actively participate on industrial continuous improvement
- Manage Supplier specific and systematic claims to recover project cost
- Achieve Saving targets and bring new ideas to improve Profitability

**BUSINESS UNDERSTANDING AND DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE**

**MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED**
- Degree in Purchasing or related qualification

**MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**
- 10 to 15 years of experience in procurement/sourcing, project and operations
- Procurement/Sourcing professional background
- Strong management experience of large multicultural team
