Our client a successful Property development and Rental company in Franschhoek is looking to employ a matured **Property Bookkeeper.**

The person must reside in the Franschhoek/Paarl Valley and have their own transport

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Matric with relevant qualifications

Bookkeeping experience within a property company - Pastel Evolution

Understanding Financial statements

Computer Literate: Excel, Word, PDF and other Tech/IT and word-processing

Good communication skills

Attention to detail is very important

Must have good follow-up skills and be able to design spreadsheets, checklists and other mechanisms to assist clear working processes.

They must be able to multi-task and work under pressure

They must be able to work independently and with their own initiative.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Bookkeeping**:
Bookkeeping - Pastel Evolution

Debtors & Creditors

Utility billing and recons, fully understanding the recovery of utilities from our tenants

Rates accounts and queries related to these with council and other consultants

Bank reconciliations

Assisting auditors in the compilation of these

Vat recons and submissions

Inter-company billing

Supplier & customer correspondence

Small payroll, with UIF, SDL etc. - Simple Pay

**Property Administration**:
Lease and Sales agreements

Marketing/vetting of new tenants and property buyers

Legal understanding of property sales and processes

AGMs - Agendas, Minutes, Budgeting & Reporting

Reporting to higher management

Worker’s Compensation

CSOS

Levy calculations and understanding of property repairs and management and how it impacts levy calculations and billing thereof to homeowners.

**Salary: depending on experience.
