A role has become available for a Seed Sampler in the Warehouse in Kempton Park. The purpose of this role is to draw representative samples from received -, presented - and re-presented seed lots for quality testing.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Complete the sampling form.
- Complete the sample label before sampling commences.
- Determine the correct number of primary samples to be drawn, according to sampling intensities, as prescribed by ISTA.
- Sampling of seed lots according to ISTA Rules.
- Obtain the prescribed submitted sample according to the ISTA Rules.
- Check the physical appearance of the bags, labels, and quantities of a presentation and represented seed in stock.
- Check the physical appearance of the seed (homogeneity) between the bags sampled.
- Perform quality checks on balances used.

**Education**

Min: Grade 12 with Maths literacy or applicable experience

**Legal Requirements**

Min: Seed sampling course - SANSOR

i. Module 1 - Seed industry

ii. Module 2 - Seed sampling

iii. Sampling course (in-house)

Ideal: Driver’s Licence
