Junior Video Editor

An opportunity exists in the Mazars Creative Studio, a Division of Mazars Academy within Mazars in South Africa, an international professional services firm based at Mazars House in beautiful Century City, Cape Town.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Render specialised videos for academic as well as non-academic internal and external clients;
- Visualise and conceptualise videos for a learning environment and multimedia products for use in marketing and communication strategies;
- Ensure effective administration and file management of projects;
- Manage projects including needs analysis, scope, planning, scripts, funding, timeframes and research;
- Be quality orientated and have excellent attention to detail in a highly pressurised environment;
- Follow strict branding guidelines when editing videos;
- Record voice-overs in our in-house studio to use in marketing videos;
- Source b-roll footage from approved brand footage for use in marketing and other video projects;
- Assist with storyboarding video projects in line with crucial messaging objectives;
- Work with short deadlines and quick turnaround time;
- Illustrate infographics and other design elements as and when required, including but not limited to logos, product mock-ups, presentation layouts and photos for use in video projects

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with clients and colleagues to complete projects
- A relevant degree or similar tertiary qualification with a specific emphasis on video editing (advantageous but not essential)
- Proven experience through a portfolio of work if requested
- Good understand of video camera recording techniques for video editing projects and be able to give production guidance and input for shooting footage
- Working experience in Adobe Premiere Pro (video editing)
- Understanding Adobe Audition is advantageous but not essential
- Creating motion graphics using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Illustrator is advantageous but not essential
- Possess appropriate language, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to deal with sensitive information confidentially
- Understand sensitivity to clients’ and users’ personal and cultural preferences concerning visual material used in videos
- Excellent relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
- Proficiency on Mac and PC
- This role offers flexibility, and working from home is available after probation
