**Maxwell and Spark is looking for a Field Product Modifications Technician**

**Who are we?/About us**

**Opportunity/Job Purpose**
**M+S **is looking for a dedicated **Field Product Modifications Technician **based in Durban, to join the Engineering Department on a **fixed-term contract**. This position is well suited to an individual who is **accountable** and can work well **independently**.

**Maxwell+Spark** fosters a diverse, fast paced, progressive work environment. This position requires someone dynamic with an ability to function effectively independently who will be **able to travel** around the country implementing modifications to operating products. Office support will be provided.

**What will you do?**
**Role and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to**:

- Implement modifications to existing batteries installed on individual Customer sites located country wide.
- Make arrangements with Customers as to suitable timing to conduct these modifications to their batteries.
- Drive or travel to customer sites, follow their individual site entry requirements, attend to the modification. All travel and accommodation will be compensated.
- Review functionality of the existing telemetry modules, replace as required.
- Review functionality of the battery in general, report any issues to After Sales and ensure these corrections are planned into the system.
- Follow the company’s safety and quality guidelines.
- Meet the deadlines of the roll out plan as assigned.
- Perform any other day-to-day tasks as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- SA drivers license and a willingness to travel, this requirement is non-negotiable. Preferably at least 1 years driving experience.
- Grade 12 or matric certificate. N6 qualification (or better) in electrical or electronics is preferred.
- 1+ years’ experience in a similar field or role is preferrable.
- Fully PC literate and ability to install and run apps is a is non-negotiable.
- An interest in working with renewable energy and energy storage systems.
- Willingness to undergo internal training required to fulfil the day-to-day functions of the position.
- Ability to read, understand and implement technical instructions.
- Ability to work well independently.
