Vacancies exist in the Manufacturing Business Unit (Bellville) for individuals who have initiative and drive and can work under the pressure of handling several major projects simultaneously.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Ensure that their Shops adhere to relevant manufacturing standards and policies, as governed by the ISO 9001 (2015) quality management system.
- Ensure that products are manufactured within the allocated time.
- To manage production costs and recovery hours effectively on a daily basis.
- To manage primary levels of IR issues within your plant.
- To maximise outputs and ensure smooth running of the plant
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Grade 12
- Artisan, preference will be given to Welding or Boilermaker qualifications.
- Technical qualification with manufacturing and or welding inspection experience will also be considered.
- Training/certification or experience in Factory Management/Planning and/or IR will be advantageous.
- Operations/Production Management or N4 and above will be an added advantage.
**EXPERIENCE**
- 10 years minimum in a steel fabrication environment (heavy engineering i.e. welding & boiler making will be preferable)
- 3 years supervision experience with a proven track record.
- 3 years pressure parts manufacturing experience
- Proven track record in dealing with factory IR issues (disciplinary enquiries, grievances etc.) You must be prepared to undertake a number of tests (psychometric) that will demonstrate your ability in this field.
- Computer Literacy at intermediate level
