Production Supervisor

**Introduction**

Our manufacturing client based in Durban is looking for a Production Supervisor to join their operations.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Plan, implement and control the production schedule, adjusting where necessary and ensuring production targets are met in line with budget.
- Responsible for the planning and allocation of all resources according to the production schedule.
- Manage production budgets, estimate production costs, and implement cost control programmes.
- Collaborate with HR in the processes of hiring, training, and disciplining of staff.
- Monitor and review performance of staff and implement interventions as needed.
- Analyse production data to determine equipment use and maintenance, modification, and procurement needs.
- Create methods for a more efficient/improved production processes and implement SOPs for the production operations.
- Ensure adherence to SOPs and H&S procedures.
- Set and monitor Product Quality Standards - implement and enforce quality control, and tracking programmes to meet quality objectives.
- Write and maintain production reports, including the preparation of stats for Senior Management.
- Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between operations and the supply chain, finance, and sales departments.
- Conduct a root cause analysis of any production issues and implement the necessary remedial steps.
- Manage and control inventory of required production tools.

**Desired Experience & Qualification**
- Matric.
- Production Management/Operations Management Diploma/Degree advantageous.
- Advanced computer skills.
- Strong ability to effectively present production information to relevant stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of:

- Raw Materials.
- Quality Systems and Standards.
- Health and Safety Standards and Compliance.
- Process improvement techniques.
- Machines & Tools.
- Engineering and technology principles and practices.
