- The role is responsible for performing tasks in an area of a section in accordance with Work Instructions and executing instructions issued by their senior in order to produce accurate and timeous results. The role also supports the Laboratory Technician / Metallurgist in optimizing and continually improving the operation of the section

**Job Description**:

- Safe work input for the effective and efficient operation of the section according to work instruction and standards
- Sample management - receiving, registering, taking/collection, labelling, log-in and preparation
- Analysis of samples by various techniques in the laboratory
- Stores issuing and receiving stocks monitoring
- Telehandler, Bobcat and light vehicle driving
- Produce timeous and accurate results
- Operation of the process plant

**This role is at Waterval Smelter. Rustenburg, at a Band 8 level reporting to the Metallugist**

**Qualifications**:

- Bobcat certificate will be an advantage
- Drivers license

**Knowledge and Skills**
- Assessed competent on applicable Laboratory Skills Programmes/training programmes
- Competent to use the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
- English literate

**Experience**
- Minimum 6 months experience as a Trainee Laboratory Processor /Sampler

**Additional **Requirements**
- Must be able to do standby, overtime and shift work.
- Please attached all relevant certificates
