If you are outside supply chain, this is an opportunity to enter supply chain. But you should have worked with supply chain team or suppliers in current role or in your previous roles.
- National Degree in Engineering / Finance / Business Administration is preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years working experience in relevant disciplines and previous automotive purchasing experience would be a distinct advantage
- Following will be the prime responsibilities,
- Should have the supplier database updated to status of supplier’s position in terms of their power back-up, power grid & associated bargaining councils
- Should disposition the identified risks and start working with respective buyer & STA engineer for implementing ICAs & PCAs
- Responsible for updating the SRM team & supply chain leadership on market status in terms of supply risks
- Should have ability to predict and act swiftly on the upcoming supply risks due to various reasons like natural calamity, weather situation, regional issues, port congestion, etc.
- Should work collaboratively with Buyer, STA, PD & MP&L for identifying and implementing the mitigation actions for identified emerging risks.
- Should be on top of world & local news related to supply risks and keep updating the supply chain team timely on potentials impacts
- Should report on regular basis the status of loadshedding pattern & bargaining council movement in South Africa. If necessary, plan the mitigating actions, if any of these would impact supply of parts to production by supplier.
- Should continuously look for opportunity to improve or streamline the SRM processes
- Participate in team meetings and management meetings to represent South Africa SRM
