1. Ensure compliance to OHS Act
2. Ensure that monthly H&S meetings are conducted on site and that issues raised are actioned with the relevant people (manager, client, contractors, etc.)
3. Ensure that all employees use provided personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times as per Company Policy and Procedure.
4. Ensure that all incidents and accidents are reported, recorded and investigated as per Company Policy and Procedure.
5. Ensure that weekly “toolbox talks/safety talks” are conducted and recorded.
6. Ensure that all new employees are properly inducted on-site upon arrival.
7. Ensure that all unsafe conditions and unsafe actions are immediately addressed and rectified.
8. Ensure that monthly inspection of the site are undertaken and recorded as per Company Policy and Procedure.
9. Ensure that Safety Alerts and Safety Awareness campaigns are driven and enforced as per Company Policies and Procedures.
10. Ensure that a high level of hygiene and good housekeeping practices are enforced at all times.
11. Ensure that the “Daily HACCP Log Sheet” is completed in full and reviewed every day (Catering sites only).
12. Conduct on-job training with staff on Safe Chemical handling, Safe Operating Procedures and basic health & safety practices.
13. Ensure that monthly reports as required by the National QHSE Manager are submitted on the correct forms and by the due date on a monthly basis.
14. Ensure that First Aiders, Fire Fighthers and H&S Representative Certificates remain valid.
15. Ensure that monthly emergency evacuations are practiced and recorded.
16. Conduct regular, daily informal inspections in the workplace to ensure health and safety: i.e. ensure walkways are unobstructed, ensure that spills which could result in slips and falls are cleaned up immediately, etc.
17. Attend quarterly H&S Committee meetings and action outcomes pertaining to the unit.
18. Ensure that preventative and corrective actions are completed and closed out whenever Non Conformance Reports are issued.
19. Accompany any internal and external inspectors during inspections.
20. Continuously review the effectiveness of health and safety measures.
21. Investigate complaints by any employee relating to that employee’s health or safety at work.
22. Ensuring that all employees abide by and follow the principles of the Global Company Health & safety Policy and Global Food Safety and Hygiene Policy (Catering sites only).
Take corrective, and where required disciplinary, action against employees not conforming to Company Policies and Procedures

- Midrand, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Education**:
- Diploma (preferred)
**Experience**:
- qhse: 3 years (preferred)
