Accountable for the management of the Assessment strategy to ensure sound selection and development decision making, using valid and reliable psychometric assessments

**Objectives of Role**:
Primary Functions
- Manages the assessment process and designs selection and development assessment strategies
- Aligns the assessment practice to defined competency frameworks within the Foundation’s defined success profiles at all levels of the Entrepreneurship pipeline.
- Researches and benchmarks best practices in assessment methods and tools.
- Sources and develops cost-effective, on-line and valid assessment instruments, through various suppliers.
- Managers a budget and a team of internal and external Assessment Specialists.
- Provides thought leadership, researches and benchmarks best practices in Entrepreneurial Assessment Management.
- Monitors and measures the implementation and impact of assessment outcomes and practices across the Foundation’s pipeline.
- Manages and mitigates risks in area of accountability and ensures clean audit, risk and compliance reports.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with internal and external stakeholders, contract Psychologists and Assessment service providers.
- Understands the full Assessment value chain and has experience integrating assessments into Learning, performance and overall beneficiary development.
- Works closely with Learning and Development Specialists to align development to Success profile methodology
- Manages Key Strategic Initiatives related to Assessment and Development

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- Identification with the Foundation’s Vision, Mission and Ethos
- Honour’s Degree in Psychology / Industrial Psychology (required)
- Master’s Degree in Psychology / Industrial Psychology (Preferable)
- Registration as Psychometrist and/or Psychologist with the HPCSA
- At least five years’ working experience in an assessment centre and recruitment environment (preferably at a similar level) of which two years should be in administering competency andpsychometric assessments.
- Experience in advising Line Managers and building HR capability around assessment governance and practice.
