Healthcare Coordinator

La Vie is a private group of sub-acute hospitals and frail care facilities dedicated to providing the highest quality, personalized care to each individual resident within a homely and nurturing environment.
We are expanding our team and seeking a dedicated Healthcare Coordinator with a solid background in the medical industry, preferably in nursing or case management, to promote our sub-acute and rehabilitation services.
The Healthcare Coordinator will play a vital role in fostering and maintaining relationships with nearby acute hospitals, particularly with ward staff and case management teams. This role is essential for ensuring a smooth transition for patients moving to a sub-acute setting, and for promoting La Vie’s services within the local healthcare community.
**Responsibilities**:
**Hospital Relations and Outreach**:
- Establish and nurture relationships with hospital ward staff, case managers, doctors, and other healthcare professionals through regular visits to local hospitals.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract patients requiring physical rehabilitation services to our hospitals.
- Coordinate community outreach programs to raise awareness of our frail care nursing homes in the area.
**Marketing and Promotion**:
- Prepare and present professional presentations to potential clients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the La Vie Health Group team to develop and refine marketing materials and strategies.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and other networking events to establish a strong presence in the market.
**Performance Metrics**:
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual targets for patient referrals and admissions.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes.
**Requirements**:
- Background in the medical industry, with a preference for experience in nursing or case management.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare, with some background in marketing, sales, or business development.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Strong networking abilities with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule, including the ability to travel within the designated area.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of the South African healthcare market and regulatory requirements is a plus.
