MAIN PURPOSE To drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service in a specialized Wine, Beer and Spirits environment

**Job description**

**KEY OUTCOMES**

**Demonstrates customer service**
- Greets, smiles and acknowledges the customers
- Identify customer needs in order to provide optimal service
- Takes responsibility for serving the customer and finding solutions to the customer’s queries
- Actively promote the W Cellar Wine Club by signing up new members
- Approach all customers and offer assistance in the department

**Applies selling skills**
- Meets customers’ needs and expectations by asking, listening to and advising customers as to options/services/products available
- Advise customers on suitable products including cross selling opportunities
- Offers alternatives to the customer if merchandise is not available

**Qualities/Skills**:

- Passionate about wine/liquor
- Merchant skills
- Communication skills
- High energy level
- Training skills (this will be for the customer assistants in the store so not necessarily formal classroom training)
- Ability to communicate with Head Office liquor team
- Able to understand liquor strategy and translate to operational/customer

Employment Type - 12 months Limited Period Contract
About wo work in a shifted environment Monday to Saturday
- Fixed salary

**Minimum requirements**

**Qualifications**:

Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in liquor retail or hospitality field
Preferable - has a form of wine/ sommelier/mixologist qualification
(Eg Wine Spirits Education Trust, Cape Wine Academy, Sommelier SA Association)
