IT Technician

**Overview**:

We are therefore looking for an energetic and enthusiastic 1st/2nd Level IT Technician with a passion for technology to join our team. We are specifically seeking someone who has 2 - 3 years IT HelpDesk and Troubleshooting experience, but who also has the ability to work on minor website security or content updates (WordPress).

**The position**:
As an IT Technician you will be based at our head office in Kenilworth.

You would be required to do the following:

- Provide customers with exceptional remote support for Microsoft Windows (experience with macOS would be beneficial)
- Identify risks and escalate client issues in a timely manner
- Action service desk tickets based on priority and SLA’s
- Perform proactive maintenance on client websites, ensuring that all plug-ins and modules are updated, and that backups are being performed regularly

**Skills**:

- Experience in Web Development or WordPress Updates and Maintenance would be highly beneficial.
- 2+ years of Microsoft ecosystem implementation, administration, and support
- Good understanding of Mail and DNS
- Experience in cPanel
- Basic understanding of Router and firewall configurations (Mikrotik and Sophos)
- Strong general troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of the OSI model
- Good interpersonal skills with a client-focused mindset
- Able to follow processes & work independently
- Execute projects based on predefined project plans

**Education expected**:
Grade 12 (NSC) or equivalent

Comptia A+ and N+, or MCSE Qualification

HTML, and WordPress CMS Training

**Beneficial**:
Linux RedHat Experience

Experience with other CMS platforms (Drupal, Joomla, etc.)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R8,000.00 - R12,000.00 per month
