**BMK Consulting Engineers KZN seeks to employ a highly motivated and experienced CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN/JUNIOR TECHNOLOGIST.**

**QUALIFYING CRITERIA SPECIFIC SKILLS REQUIRED**

▪ Completed National Diploma/BTech

▪ 1-3 years’ experience in a similar position confident individual within a Consulting Engineering firm (Pref)

▪ Mature and professional demeanour

▪ Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite

▪ Accountable and responsible for individual tasks, as well as team deadlines

▪ Working knowledge of drawing and design packages (Roads and Infrastructure)

▪ The ability to work independently as well as support a team of professionals

▪ AutoDesk Civil 3D experience essential

▪ Good time management skills
▪ Able to contribute positively as part of a team, assisting with various tasks as required

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**

▪ Strong technical skills and contribute to Conceptual to Detailed Design, Documentation, and Contract Administration of services for civil infrastructure projects including but not limited to: Earthworks, Roads, Stormwater Reticulation, Sewer Reticulation, Water Reticulation

Ensure all designs adhere to the relevant guidelines and are checked and approved by the relevant manager (professionally registered) prior to forwarding them to the relevant client and contractor

▪ The preparation of feasibility reports
▪ Attending meetings with clients and stakeholders as and when required
▪ Assist with the implementation of medium to large-sized projects within technical standards, quality, budgets, and time frames. This includes technical support to senior members of the Technical teams. o Ensure effectiveness, quality, and profitability of completed projects including project follow-up, to monitor project deliverables and client satisfaction levels.
▪ Site supervision as and when required
▪ Complete any other work related to projects within the Department
▪ Ability to use the following software proficiently: AutoCAD/ AutoDesk Civil 3D, MS Office Suite, Bill Software

▪ Contribute to the preparation of project reports and develop proficiency in technical report writing, Deliver high-quality civil engineering design, drafting, and reports in an efficient and effective manner

**Salary**: From R1.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Civil 3D: 1 year (preferred)
