**Information Technology: Security and Infrastructure Technician**

**Perm role / Based in Alberton - Monday to Friday 8 to 5pm**

**Seeking a committed and hardworking IT Security and Infrastructure Technician for a medical company in Alberton.**

**Salary approx R30 000 to R35 000 pm**

**Job Purpose**:
IT Security and Infrastructure engineer, supports the business in datacenter management including, Data center infrastructure, Server support and maintenance, Firewall management, ESET end point management and second tier network support.

**Key Work Output & Accountabilities**:

- Be mindful that the skill level and experience in the team always match the complexity of the ticket or task being worked on
- Give support to the tier-1 staff to ensure continuous growth and good performance, giving guidance on both functional skills as well as required behaviour and attitude

**Minimum Essential Skills/Knowledge**:

- 2 to 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- VEEAM Backup management
- Eset end point security management
- Sophos Firewall Management
- Networking and routing
- Data center management
- Security audits and security breach investigations
- Facilities Management, Generators and UPS systems
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- **Preferred Skills/Knowledge**:

- 1 - 2 years’ experience in a medical environment

- Telephony system

**Minimum Essential Education**:

- Matric Certificate
- VMWare Certified Professional.
- ITIL Foundation - Service desk management.
- N+ and A+

**Preferred Education**:

- Veeam Course Completion/Certification/Experience

**Salary**: R30,000.00 - R35,000.00 per month

**Experience**:

- IT Infrastructure and Security: 3 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- ITIL Service Desk Foundation (preferred)
- A+ Certification (preferred)
- N+ Certification (preferred)
- VMWare Certified Professional (preferred)
