Nurse Personal Injury Intake For Law Firm

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intake to join our reputable law firm. As a Nurse Personal Injury Intake, your primary responsibility is to gather and assess relevant medical information and records from individuals who have sustained personal injuries. You will work closely with attorneys, clients, and medical professionals to obtain accurate and comprehensive information that supports personal injury claims. Your role is crucial in ensuring that all medical aspects of the case are thoroughly evaluated and documented. Your exceptional communication skills and strong attention to detail will contribute to providing excellent client service and ensuring a smooth intake process. Key Responsibilities:

- Medical Intake: Conduct comprehensive interviews with personal injury clients to collect detailed information regarding their injuries, medical history, and treatment.
- Obtain necessary consent forms and authorizations to access medical records.
- Medical Record Review: Analyze and review medical records, including physician notes, test results, imaging reports, and treatment plans, to understand the extent of injuries, causation, and treatment received. Identify any pre-existing conditions that may impact the case.
- Collaboration: Liaise with attorneys, clients, and medical professionals to obtain additional medical documentation or clarify medical information. Communicate effectively to gather all relevant details related to the personal injury case.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all medical intake information, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. Prepare detailed summaries and reports to present medical findings and assist with legal strategy development.
- Medical Research: Stay updated with medical literature, treatment protocols, and best practices related to personal injury cases. Provide expert opinions on medical aspects of the case and assist attorneys in understanding complex medical terminology.
- Expert Witness Coordination: Collaborate with attorneys in identifying and coordinating expert witnesses, such as medical specialists or forensic experts, who can provide professional opinions or testimony related to the personal injury case.
- Case Management: Assist attorneys in managing personal injury cases by tracking deadlines, scheduling appointments, and maintaining communication with clients and healthcare providers. Ensure all medical-related tasks are completed accurately and within designated timelines.
- Mediation and Trial Support: Provide support during mediation or trial proceedings by offering expertise on medical evidence, participating in case discussions, and presenting medical findings to support the client's personal injury claim.

**Requirements**:

- Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent qualification.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Familiarity with personal injury law and legal processes is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to gather detailed medical information from clients and effectively collaborate with attorneys and medical professionals.
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze and summarize complex medical records.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and other relevant software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
- Willingness to stay updated with medical research and developments in personal injury practices.

Pay: R120.00 - R150.00 per hour
