Logistics Coordinator

- Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.
- Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Coordinate and schedule shipments with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers.
- Oversee the handling of import/export documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs documentation.
- Track and monitor the movement of goods to ensure timely delivery to customers.
- Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Update and maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, delivery notes, and transportation costs.
- Assist with the resolution of any discrepancies or delays in the supply chain.
- Provide support to the logistics team as needed, including data analysis and reporting.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in logistics management.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Previous experience (3 years) in logistics coordination or a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing and field services organization.

**Additional Information** Key skills required**:

- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, transportation modes, and logistics software/systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of the Jira software package is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
