**MAINTENANCE FITTER (FMCG)**

**Minimum Requirements**
- Passed a recognized trade test as a Fitter, Fitter and Turner or Millwright ( Trade Test Red Seal)
- Minimum of NTC 3 or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years post trade test experience in FMCG
- Willing to work various shift patterns, weekends and public holidays as per operational requirements
- Have own reliable transport
- Be on stand-by when required.
- Be willing to fill in for operators when required

**Skills**
- Experience as a mechanical maintenance artisan in a fast moving production environment.
- Competent in welding stainless steel and carbon steels using TIG or Arc welding
- Competent in performing repairs and maintenance of gearboxes, conveyors, extruders, moulding and packaging and wrapping machines
- Previous exposure to bar soap manufacturing equipment will be an advantage
- Ability to perform mechanical faultfinding
- Proficient in problem solving and root cause analysis

**Behavioural Competency**
- Self-motivated individual to with high drive to achieve results both individually and as a member of a team
- Willing to share knowledge and work closely with machine operators and other production staff.

**Key Tasks**
- Carry out repairs on Plant and Machinery
- Carry out planned and preventative maintenance tasks
- Carry out modifications on plant and machinery
- Fabricate structures and machine components as required
- Continuously ensure plant compliance to GMP, Quality ISO and OHS Act regulations
- Management of inventory and spares.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Gardens, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Certificate (required)

**Experience**:

- Fitter: 5 years (required)

Shift availability:

- Night Shift (required)
