Senior Specialist: Dls Finance Business Partner

**Role purpose**:
To manage and support the financial and digital services team with financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis to provide support to the business for performance reporting and data requirements.
To manage and support the financial and digital services team with financial modeling and decision support.
To the management and support the financial and digital services team with financial operational requirements where necessary.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
**Forecasting and budgeting**:
Provide analytical and financial support to the Financial and Digital Lifestyle Services team and assist with the financial aspect of forecasting and budgeting
Create, collate and review forecasting and budget for digital services, including revenue, related direct costs and opex for the digital services and advertising.
Financial modelling in support of forecasting and budgeting
Create budget presentations to explain budgets and strategic objectives embedded therein, including zero-based opex budgets.
Assist with the Long Range Plan budgets
ROCE analysis for capital expenditures/budgets
Ad-hoc forecasting and budgeting activities
**Reporting**:
Prepare, review and present monthly Digital Services reporting from HFM/SAP, including key performance indicators.
Perform detailed analysis of revenue and costs as and when necessary
Conduct high level analysis of partner product performance
Review and preparation of accruals listings for partners and other costs
Review and preparation of revenue schedules and vetting of revenue share calculations
Ad-hoc analysis and reporting activities
**Decision support**
Drive strategic direction relating to products and services in the decision-making process
Margin, profitability and variance analysis
Business case analysis for new products, markets, marketing plans
Expenditure and capital investment decision support
Support for long term strategic decisions
Sales incentive plan design and control
Discount approvals, pricing analysis, and approval of rebates or other claims programs
‘What if" and sensitivity analysis
Capital investment analysis
Ad-hoc decision support activities
**Financial management**:
Assist the business with finance-related activities, including assistance with following up on vendor payments, agreements, accruals of cost and revenue, checking calculations, etc.
Review GL accounts and entries to ensure accuracy of recording and disclosure of numbers
Review agreements to ensure correct accounting treatments are applied
Assist the business to ensure that invoices are submitted on time to prevent numerous accruals, etc
Review payment terms with SCM to ensure alignment to cash flow strategy
Assist with ensuring cash flows are received from partners timeously
Ad-hoc financial support to the Digital Services team
Matric essential
BComm Degree essential
At least 8 years experience in finance and financial modeling
Computer skills: SAP, MS Office essential (Excellent Excel skills); HFM advantageous
**Other required skills**:
In-depth understanding of business models and frameworks for value-added services
In-depth understanding of competitor and consumer environment, challenges and opportunities in respect of Value Added Services.
Knowledge of tariffs, products and technical platforms
Knowledge of GSM standards and networks

Knowledge of competitive consumer offerings relevant to the digital services and m-commerce market
