Registered Nurse

Medwell SA is seeking a Registered Nurse to join Twee Riviere retirement village in Montana,Pretoria.

**Qualifications Required**:

- Professional Nurse registered with the South African Nursing Council.
- Basic Life support (Training can be provided).
- Knowledge and practical experience of the clinical and administrative requirements and procedures that are expected within the remit of a Registered Nurse, including nursing procedures, e.g., Intravenous Infusions (siting and maintaining), wound care, catheterisation
- Quality control of nursing care delivered by all nursing staff working in the unit, in collaboration with the Healthcare manager
- Reporting & Monitoring Patient Changes
- Wound Care
- IV Infusions & Administration
- Assess common health problems through observation, interaction and measurement
- Management of ventilator dependent clients
- Have knowledge with regards to the role and function that is required in the Healthcare practice. (Laws and regulations)

- Excellent verbal and written communication and administrative skills. Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team context and individually. Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Experience in the nursing of frail elderly persons as well as demented residents
- Knowledge and understanding of Older Persons Act 13 of 2006.
