Cashier

Responsibilities:
**Customer service & Communication**
- Always ensure good customer service and upheld good client relationships at all times.
- Ensure to assist with client’s sales enquiries and concerns and follow through.
- Have adequate product knowledge of all products stocked in the factory shop.
- This role is responsible to communicate any “out-of-stock” or quality issues to the Factory Shop Manager.
- Always ensure to go the extra mile by living and maintaining the Henties Values.
- Ensure to create an enjoyable environment for colleagues and customers according to Henties values.
- Always communicate with colleagues and customers in a respectful manner.
- This role must communicate any requests from customers and ensure that it is followed up.
- Ensure that all specials and pricing of products are visually and verbally communicated to the customers.

**Stock take**
- This role must monitor stock levels on a daily basis and follow through accordingly.
- Highlight and communicate any products with “low-stock” levels to the Factory shop Manager.
- Part of this role is to assist with month-end stock take.
- Ensure that all stock descriptions and quantities are accurate when doing stock take.
- Also red flag all products that are close to expiry date to the Shop Manager weekly.
- This role must rotate stock in order to ensure that short dated stock is first accessible to customers.

**Transaction and payment**
- Ensure that all stock items being purchased are scanned onto the system.
- Always make sure that correct pricing reflects on the system.
- This role must complete the payment process accurately.
- Ensure that a slip is printed to present to security when a purchase is being made.
- Conduct a spot check on all stock scanned before processing the payment.
- Also ensure the amount on the bank machine is accurate and correct.

**Admin en general**
- This role is responsible to initiate new ideas and follow through by reporting those to the Factory Shop manager.
- Always ensure that the factory shop looks presentable.
- Whenever assistance is needed, be willing or able to assist in all capacity.
- Regulate stock quantity and quality when stock arrives at factory shop.
- Ensure that the stock item is loaded onto OMNI before the product goes on shelves.
- Ensure to identify any dead stock to the Factory Shop Manager.
- Be available for any ad-hock duties, when needed.
- When there is any uncertainty within the Shop, this role is expected to approach the manager and ask for guidance.

**Cleaning**
- Ensure that the Factory Shop kitchen is kept clean at all times.
- Also ensure that the whole Factory Shop is clean and neat and looks presentable.
- This role is responsible to ensure that shelves are dusted off continuously when needed.
- Part of this role will be to keep the fridge and fridge area clean at all times.

**Requirements**:

- Retail background a priority

- Matric
- Speak and write English fluently - knowledge of a second language to your advantage

**Salary**: R5,000.00 - R6,000.00 per month
