Procurement Practitioner

Our client in the Industrial Production industry is looking for a Procurement Practitioner to join their team in Nelspruit.

**Minimum requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Commerce/Procurement/Materials Management or related field
- 3 to 5 Years’ experience in procurement in a heavy industrial production environment
- Computer literacy (MS Office suite)
- Identifying suitable suppliers of various commodities according to availability, price, quality and company guidelines
- Compiling scope of work or commodity lists for tenders; inviting suppliers to tender and performing tender evaluations, negotiations and adjudications
- Conclude long term contracts with suppliers and service providers
- Negotiate and generate savings through multiple quotations and contract negotiations according to market indications and relevant indices
- Establish, maintain and manage professional relationships with all stakeholders which includes suppliers and internal customers according to MMC values and codes of conduct
- Identify and manage sole, preferred and approved suppliers and service providers through maintaining provider lists, ensuring approvals of preferred providers, and maintaining BBBEE certificates
- Placing of orders including the receiving of RTO’s, proper allocation to buyers and enclosing of accurate documentation on workflow processes
- Expediting of orders by tracing outstanding orders and communicating expected delivery dates
- Facilitate the servicing and repairing of equipment on and off-site
- Review and revise existing procurement policies and procedures
