- Manufacture, Repair, Assemble and weld all steel related Items and structures.

**Responsibilities**
- Attend work on the schedule established by the employer and without excessive absenteeism.
- Follow all safe work practices.
- Be able to read and understand shop floor drawings.
- Obtain parts and materials.
- Access areas to be assemble and welded, by climbing ladder if needed.
- Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding.
- Operate manual and automated welding units and equipment by depositing metal from electrode to work piece and joins edges of work piece.
- Using cutting torches and strait line cutters to shape material
- Be able to straighten bended machine structures and accessories
- Maintain length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead.
- Weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding).
- Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
- Grind or clean weld joint of work piece.
- Repair improperly assembled work pieces.
- Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a jig fixture.
- Tack assemblies together.
- Fabricate new or replacement parts often without manufacturing drawing
- Must be able to draw templates and basic drawings for fabrication.
- Assemble component parts using hand and power tools.
- Preparing and finishing with grinding.
- Clean up work area daily.**Inherent Requirements**

**Education**
- Specify: Minimum Grade 10, Boilermaker Red seal Certificate, Coded Welder in one of the following GMAW, FCAW, SMAW, TIG processes

**Years of Experience**
- Specify: Minimum 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
